Minimum Blue Mage Level Needed To Acquire Spell: Level 38 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Sickle Slash
is best hunted in the Eastern Altepa Desert.
This spell can be safely soloed with no issues when you can learn it at 38. Bringing Antidotes to cure the poison from Acid Spray helps.
The Best place to hunt Spiders is in Eastern Altepa Desert. The Spiders in Korroloka Tunnel are a few levels lower, but they tend to be close together and very linky. Here in the desert with some care you can easily pull Spiders with no links and thus no problems. By the time you can learn the spell, you can solo the Spiders here with ease. Buff up, carefully pull, then the basic Head Butt/Bludgeon solo style will get the job done. Debuff and cure as needed. You should have no shortage of Spiders around the J-8 area where you zone into Eastern Altepa. Just kill them as fast as you can, if the spider does not use the move grab another.
There are many Spider type monsters in several other zones. The Huge Spiders located in Korroloka Tunnel are easy to kill at the point you can learn, but they are also very linky. The higher level versions are very dangerous to kill, and will require help or a party. They are not recommended.
