Sound Blast is
best hunted in Meriphataud Mountains.
This spell can be soloed starting around level 30. No party is needed, but a small one, or a strong Duo partner can let you learn the spell earlier in Camp #2. Bring Echo Drops for silence, and Antidotes for Posion. Sneak and Invisible items can help for getting to camp.
Camp #1 is the best Solo Camp for the Spell at a level when you can use it. There are nine Axe Beak Spawn points in the southern half of the Meriphataud Mountains. Two are always located in J-8, the rest are scattered around the squares near H-10. The areas that the Axe Beaks are in is made up of cracked rocky bluffs and is difficult to navigate. There is also a lot of Yagudo, and Raptors in the area. Depending on your level, Aggro can be an issue. Take proper care to avoid it. Fights with Axe Beaks that are EM or Less are not that hard, though one needs to watch ones MP carefully. It's easy to run out if you are trying to make a fight last. To avoid the Petrification effect of Baleful Gaze, simply fight with your back to the monster, and use spells to deal damage. Since it's a gaze based attack, it will have no effect with your eyes looking away. Be ready to use Echo Drops and Antidotes as needed if you get the wrong TP moves. For the fights try to knock off about half the Axe Beak's health as soon as you can, tossing in a few Debuffs. Then you can ease up, feed TP with low MP spells like Foot Kick or Power Attack, and hope for Sound Blast to show up. Watch your MP, and cure yourself as needed. It does not hurt to have a juice or potion on hand to get MP back, as on occasion, the monsters can get lucky with some heavy Crit Attacks. Note, a NM Cockatrice named Waraxe Beak, who is around level 56, can spawn here after you kill other Axe Beaks. Needless to say, unless you have some very high level help, you will not be able to solo him. Run Away!
Tabar Beaks spawn in three genral areas in the Sauromugue Champaign, as noted above on the map. In total there are around a dozen spawn points. The Eastern area has the most spawns. If you choose to solo here, you should be at least around level 40 to do so safely. If you wish the spell by the level you can use it, then you will need a Duo partner to help out. Any High Level Damage Dealer can easily help you get the spell here. There is aggro in both sight and sound form all around the spawns, so take care. If you are soloing, the fights should be handled as described in Camp #1, with special care taken to pull to a safe camp with no aggro issues.
The Spell can be learned from other Cockatrice about the world. All are very much higher in level, and often in some very annoying areas. These camps are not recommended.
